"Remarks are not literature." -- Gertrude Stein
"Yes, but neither is most literature." -- Jeremiah Chariot

Cinco de Mayo, 2007

Whatever happened to issues 51 and 52?

That's the question people will be asking in years to come, if (when?) an entire collection of "remark." is being looked over. Here's the answer.

I am so far behind and I decided to take a different approach to catching up. I'm going to make C. Allen Rearick's issue which should have come out in January, the March issue. I cannot change the issue numbers because Brian McGettrick's issue (April, issue 54) was professionally printed and the number on the issue, at this point, cannot be changed. So, it's a whole new schedule. (See below.) No one is being left out. Any poems I accepted are still going to be published, just at a different time then originally planned. If this is a problem for you. Please, stop reading right now and email me and let me know you want your poems yanked. Thanks!

I truly apologize for the length of time it's taken me to get my poetry ass in gear. I believe most of you know my moving saga but other things have been hitting the fan as well. Not going to go into that here. If you're REALLY that interested, email me and I'll give you the entire scoop! (Do so at your own risk! You may be sorry you asked.) I've had so many overwhelming personal issues since last August but I am on an upswing and getting back on track.

I want to thank my husband for putting up with me. I am very cranky when I can't do what I want to do. "remark." is one of the things I love best in life. And not being able to work on it, for whatever reason, is truly frustrating and makes me into a snotty woman. Sorry, Bill. Thanks for your patience and all the help you've given me with "remark." I love you!

Okay, so here's the new schedule and line-up!

Okay, if you're still with me, thanks! Any questions or concerns, please email me. I am WAY behind on answering submissions as well. But I will answer all of them. I'm working on it.

Also, the Florida PO box is officially dead. Please don't send anything to it. The forward is not working any longer. Thanks! And also, on that note, NO regular mail submissions! Even poets are writers and writers should be readers and writers/readers should be able to follow directions!

The November issue was mailed out on Saturday, May, 5th.

Once again, thanks to all who have been understanding and supportive. Life is nuts sometimes. This has been one of those times!
