Communist Children

Every so often
when I talk to
my dad
he says:

"why don't you
get off
your fucking ass
and go to
law school?"

Then I ask him
why I'd ever want
to do that?

"So you can make
lots of money
and be happy."

And I remind him
that Communists
don't care about
making lots of
money.

And he says:

"Communists?! I
didn't raise no son
to be a Communist!"

I guess when
I was growing up
he was too drunk
to notice
that I wasn't
being raised
by him
at all.
